Jim has presented marketing
workshops for car dealers and small businesses, Prospering in Mega Competitive
Times, in more than 400 cities across America. He’s the author of a new book
entitled, Don’t Just Make a Sale – Make a Difference!, numerous audio and video
programs, including UPGRADE Selling® and TV: The Dealer’s Edge. Jim publishes a
monthly newsletter about the car business for ad sales people and is a columnist
for a national sales publication. His National Auto Satellite Conferences
consistently have the largest audiences of any conferences in the industry.
Jim began his broadcasting career as a TV sales rep in Portland, Maine. During
27 years in advertising and broadcasting, he has owned an advertising agency,
been Director of Sales for a TV group, and General Manager/ part owner of a
radio station. Jim started teaching sales in the mid-70’s, served as Chair of
the TV-B Sales Training Committee in the 80’s, and began consulting and training
full-time in 1991.
